Of particular note is your (and my) concern with the separation of family bands at these roundups. I am familiar with the Chincoteague pony roundups in Virginia and the family bands are always kept together with the herd is rounded up in the Spring for vet checkups and in July when some foals are sold. The stallions keep their families in groups and make sure other bachelor boys stay away. It is interesting to watch their interactions but it is much safer for all involved to keep the families together. BLM needs to use this policy.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5618238585190945948.post-55823425506296579762011-04-20T21:58:08.366-07:002011-04-20T21:58:08.366-07:00It's always great to hear good news for these ...It's always great to hear good news for these beautiful, noble animals! I hope he stays away from helicopters in the future.

Mace has the most beautiful gait!! And that was the saddest picture of Jackson and friend, recognizing their territory, but wondering where their herds were.

Again, many thanks for keeping this in the forefront.Pullerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08886565528063886400noreply@blogger.com
